NYC Exhibit 2007

NYC Exhibit, Columbia University, 2007

EDUCATION

I am an artist, educator and diversity consultant.

My Art Education degree dates back decades. I have been part of a couple of artists’ collectives. Some of my paintings (‘Renewal’ and ‘the Soul of Asian America’) have been published in art and literary journals. My abstract paintings have been on exhibit from coast to coast. I have worked as a professional artist for a design company in the southwest — painted on patina, metal sculptures (large and small).

A display of my “Transformation Art” and a slide show were at Columbia University, in New York (2007) as part of a global conference on world peace. A professor from Italy later invited me to bring my artworks to Rome. I am a member of several online, global art organizations.

My muses have included Pollock, Matisse, Kandinsky, and Klee; Zen artists.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Since 2005, I have donated several abstract paintings to a number of non-profit, humanitarian organizations in various states; one art auction (of collective artists) raised over $3,200 in scholarships for ‘students of color’ on the west coast. A portion of all future the sales will be donated to organizations serving the homeless.
